Design with Purpose

Ovidiu Slavoiu

I am passionate about the philosophy behind things - their “why”, their heroes, the cause that fuels them. 

 

I always start by architecting the big picture, to bring clarity and systemic thinking to problem solving.

 

As a designer, I am inspired by music: harmony comes from a wise arrangement of patterns and syncopated ideas, to meet both rational and emotions.

In a world full of blitzkriegs, I propose trust, skill & goodwill.

I am a designer, with solid change enablement and innovation drive. My core professional competencies are in Product & eXperience Design. Over the years, I have successfully added on business, strategy & digital transformation attributes.

​

I currently  act as CX Lead for the Business Banking area in ING Bank Romania and Chapter Lead for the UX Design (service design, UX research, UX writing) for product and channels Tribes. Other competencies acquired along my career are behavioural segmentation, product marketing, and relationship marketing. I develop intellectual curiosity in technology, education, and sustainability. ​

My design thinking & CX role models are Hartmut Esslinger and Steve Jobs.

​

I am an occasional drummer and an attempting writer (MANA - Bud of Core).

I act as a team player and a humble, common sense leader and I function guided by offering reliability, hands-on attitude, and depth for high quality and relevancy.

I believe that people are looking for autonomy in life. Therefore, I act in line with J.W. von Goethe's thought: Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being.
